The path of the journey

Look at piano playing from different perspectives: Sight-reading, Playing Techniques, Artistry, Music Theory, History, Styles, Genres. Each of these puzzles when put together significantly expands our horizons.
Watch the pattern
Music has a texture. It is a shape in which those elements are expressed. Melody lines, passages, double notes, block and broken chords, arpeggios - working on them can turn into a whole journey and inspire you to start improvising, catching or creating a sense of a particular mood in the way it sounds.
Speak through music
Music is a language that consists of known units. Letters, words, phrases, sentences, commas, ellipsis, questions, answers, articulation, voice raisings and lowerings etc. - once you can notice them, you notice the story. And then suddenly music makes sense.
Develop the technique
Dedicating some part of you practice time to improvement of technique will enhance and secure your progress. Scales, chords, exercises, etudes - are the tools that you always have in the backpack to pick the right one for the new piece of music you learn.
Find the harmony
Feel every part of your body, release any stiffness from them, be a "rooted tree" when you play. Refine your motions. "Undo" rather then "do". Be efficient. Stay aware of where you are in space. May energy flow freely through your body. Breathe. Put your mind into each of your fingertips, let them sing your song.
Create
Draw attention inside your body, get to hear what music tries to say and help to express it. Shape emotions, create characters, embody images. Make the printed notes come alive. Be the Wizard who produces energy that connects the moment of the Composer's creation of the piece with Now.
Music is an ocean. Enjoy all its personalities being a good sailor who nattily steers his boat.
